St Pete

Races like today’s make me want to blog more. What a fantastic race. Loved seeing things mixed up a bit and loved the result. Where to start—

Will Power- he was never a favorite of mine. After he hurt his back years ago and then had a partial ride with Penske you wanted him to do well. Then he got his ride full time and kept winning. It really got old. Now we’ve watched him come in second on standings three years in a row. He might not be my favorite but he deserves the championship and I hope this is the year he does it. After having JR Hildebrand run him over though he is not off to a great start.

James Hinchcliffe- Not much to say just so stinking excited for the win. Well deserved!

Simons de silvestro- awesome awesome awesome! Wish she had that podium but she will get it. So happy to see her out in front.

Helio Castroneves- fought till the end and had a great result. Always fun to watch him climb the fence but still so glad the mayor of Hinchtown won this one.

Scott Dixon- Again not a favorite but awesome job moving up the field.

Dario Franchitti- tough break but I’m sure he will remain a contender. Also not really a favorite but hate hearing others bad mouth or boo him. He has fantastic talent.

Tony Kanaan- My favorite! Great job today. Really hope he gets a win this year.

Tristan Vautier- OMG. Never expected him to do as well as he did. Amazing run.

Alex Tagliani- didn’t hear much about him during the race but he started pretty far back and finished tenth so kudos to him.

Justin Wilson- another favorite in our house so we loved seeing him hang in there.

Overall just a wonderful race. We have a lot of class acts in Indycar. Power could have flipped out about JR but he kept his cool. Love all the respect the drivers have for each other and how they all handle themselves. I truly enjoyed every minute and can’t wait for Barber
